We are your Kocurek Health Team and we are happy to assist you and your student(s) with any and all of your Health Care needs. Linda DeLeon, the Clinical Assistant, or I are on campus all day Mon-Friday.
I have been in Nursing for over 20 years and working as a School Nurse in Austin ISD for more than 15 years. I am a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army and the National Guard where I have served as an Army Ranger, a Nurse, a Company Commander, and a Battalion Commander. I have been deployed overseas 3 times and even more recently in Texas in the fight against COVID.
A new requirement in Austin ISD in 2022-23 is that all medications given at school require a doctor’s order. This includes everything from Cough Drops to Prescription medications.
