Choir

The Kocurek Choir is a group made up of 4th and 5th grade students. Choir rehearsals are every Thursday through the school year. The choir performs 2 big concerts during the school year (winter and spring) with various other performances sprinkled throughout the schedule. Students that are interested in joining choir should contact Mr. VandeWalle in the music room.

Junior Choir

The Kocurek Jr. Choir is a group made up of 2nd and 3rd grade students. Jr. Choir rehearsals are every Monday through the school year. The junior choir performs 2 big concerts during the school year with the 4th and 5th grade choir (winter and spring) with various other performances sprinkled throughout the schedule. Students that are interested in joining junior choir should contact Mr. VandeWalle in the music room.

Advanced Recorder Club

The Kocurek Advanced Recorder club is made up students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. These students take their music reading and performance to new levels through extra challenging music from classical to jazz (even improvisation)! The Advanced Recorder Club meets on Wednesdays during the Spring Semester. Any students interested in joining this advanced group should contact Mr. VandeWalle in the music room.

Violin Club

Our Violin Club is made up of 5th grade students at Kocurek. Student learn the basics of the violin care and technique and progress to learning the fundamentals of performance on this class string instrument. Mr. Gagliardi, our art teacher, is a violinist and runs this club Fridays after school. Students interested in joining the violin club should contact Mr. G in the art room.
